My big challenge with this dress was to make it using only materials and patterns I already had, except for buying new thread because wow this went through several spools, and I could get plain white thread from the grocery down the street, and not have to leave the neighborhood for anything

Basically, this mini is comfortable, adorable, and the exact dress you reach for when plans upgrade from basic to something special

It feels like we just announced that we were pregnant back in September and here we are in a new year and only a month (maybe less) away from welcoming baby girl into the world

We're also crazy about the red circle of beads around the neckline
